T.H.A.W. Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed in 2018 by a small group of Pittsburgh women concerned about the health disparities between African American women
and women of other races (or ethnicities). Since its founding, T.H.A.W., Inc. has
implemented programming that has promoted chronic disease education and intervention,
coaching in behavior change and stress reduction, lifestyle and weight loss support, and
increased access to free and low-cost physical fitness activities in the Lincoln-Lemington and
surrounding communities.

It is time for our fifth annual Artist Showcase. This event will feature live Jazz music by Tempo Noir and showcase art from some of the Pittsburgh area's most talented individuals. There will also be a special spoken word segment by Crystal Jalil, and live music played by Tempo Noir.
The focus of this event is the African American Woman. Her strength, beauty, intelligence...
African American Women have faced some of the toughest challenges of any demographic, yet many have proven they can stand tall, and are worthy to have a seat at any table in which they may have been counted out of.
At THAW, inc our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for African American Women and the communities they live in; through education and other interventions that promote health awareness and personal development.
The proceeds from this event will go towards the fulfillment of our mission. We are deeply involved in community enrichment, focusing on health, education, and providing resources to needy individuals.
The Art & Soul event will be held at the Edgewood Country Club
